Summer heat and grip pressure
· Jamal Pierce
It is a hundred degrees in July and your hands are slick. You grip harder. You tense up. Your tempo gets worse.
A grip with a little more texture helps, and so does one that is a hair larger. Both reduce the need to squeeze.
What to try
Ask for a corded or textured grip in summer. If the one you have is smooth, it is probably time to replace it.
We can regrip a set in about an hour.
